Our Vinland headquarters in Portland, Maine work closely with partners around the world to ensure goods reach their destination on time, and we are proud to call TVG-Zimsen our partner.

WEEKLY TRANSATLANTIC SERVICES TO ICELAND & EUROPE
NACLine offers weekly transatlantic services connecting Portland, Maine and Iceland and Europe. This includes: full container loads (FCL) & Less than container loads (LCL), door-to-door services, project cargo, reefer and dry cargo, as well as pre- and on-carriage, warehousing & other additional services.
The Greenland Way
SHIPPING TO GREENLAND
Our freight line in collaboration with Royal Arctic Line connects the US and Greenland. We've named the project"Leif the Lucky Bridge" (LLB) — a much welcome freight option to many contractors on both sides of the strait. The LLB service includes both LCL and FCL services, as well as bulk and oversized cargo. Regular ports of call in Greenland are Nuuk, Sisimiut, and Aasiaat. From there, we offer 50+ different locations by feeder vessels.

Meet the Team
Our Icelandic family is based in Portland, Maine and deeply involved with fulfillment, shipping, and logistics. Together, we bring in 30+ years of experience in international transport to our work.
Founder & CEO
Ólafur Matthiason
Ólafur (or Óli) has worked in international transport for over thirty years. His first acquaintance with transport began in 1969 when he worked as a sailor at Eimskip. In 1986, he started working for Skipaafgreiðsla Jes Zimsen (today TVG Zimsen), and thus began an uninterrupted transport career. He has held positions at Samskip in both Reykjavik, Iceland and Norfolk, Virginia.

Begga Hreinsdóttir
Begga manages finances at North Atlantic Cargo Line. Before moving to the United States in 2007, she worked for Air Atlanta Icelandic in the finance department. In the United States, she has held accounting and finance positions at Samskip and BMK Ventures in Virginia Beach. Begga also manages finances at Ísafold.

Hlíf Ólafsdóttir
Hlíf joined North Atlantic Cargo Line in 2020. As Head of Operations, she focuses on operations and logistics and manages all inbound and outbound cargo moving throughout the United States. Hlíf graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a degree in business.

Alexander Ólafsson
Alexander has extensive knowledge and experience from the transport sector, where he has worked for the past 14 years. Before joining Ísafold, he worked for Samskip, Masterpiece International, Einstök, CFR Rinkens.
